A quick stop in Umeå to pick an important key. Still heavy rain and ice on the road…
What is better than start the new year with pickin’ another Volkswagen Bus?!
But, first a cup of black coffee.
Cup is from our norwegean friends! Check their page, http://www.outlavws.blogspot.com
This day we will have a 550km trip, just over the day, to pick a bus, that has been sitting in the barn for quite some time.
This day will be a live blog day, so you guys can follow the pick during the day, wile you are sitting behind your work-desk, or just sitting in the sofa at home still thinking about new year!🙂
I’de never guess this would happen to me….. I dropped the engine on the E4 last week!!!!
Some of the prev. owners made their own rear mount of the engine and gearbox… He was no weldingman…. This happen only 2days before the local vw meet. Bad luck!
Im no pro, when it comes to welding, but i hope this will last long.
Have not show´n this nice piece yet.
Its a Fageol Pepco supercharger that I traded from the UK this summer. It is a project, but the most of the parts were there!
Pepcos are reproduced by Speedwell USA (http://speedwellusa.com/) but this supercharger is the real deal, an old one, but with some missing parts that are reproduced through Ray at Speedwell USA. I will run this supercharger on the zwitter, and hopefully I wiill be able to run it next weekend at a car-show in my town. If not, then I hope for testing it the next weekend, when we have the annual vw meeting in my town (dasvw.se)
First race will be at the Bergrennen #10 in Norway, 27/9! (http://gmundbrokerage.blogspot.se/)
I have had some help with the supercharger, both laser-cut an aluminum plate for the back of the supercharger, and machined it down, by another friend, so it would fit the charger-body. Hopefully this will run smooth and powerful up the hill!
Needed some better patina to the pop-off valve!
Now the pop-off valve looks a little older!
